Melody Fight is a free, browser-based music guessing game built for music lovers who want a quick, fun way to test their knowledge with friends.

THE MUSIC

The catalogue holds about 27,000 tracks by 7,000 artists, from the 1960s to today. Every game starts from one of three levels: Easy (the biggest hits), Hard (well-known songs a notch below) or Hell (deep cuts). The catalogue is also sorted into music styles (rock, pop, R&B and soul, jazz, country, soundtracks and more) on each level, and you can mix several styles in one game. Each round plays a 30-second preview streamed from Deezer, so nobody needs a music subscription. Style and tag metadata is powered by AudioScrobbler (Last.fm) and MusicBrainz. Signed-in players can also build their own sets from the catalogue and play them with friends: make your own music quiz.

HOW IT WORKS

Each round plays a 30-second song preview. Players listen and submit their guesses — whether it's the release year, the artist, or the decade. Points are awarded based on accuracy and speed. At the end, see who truly knows their music best!
